After months (and for some real eager-beavers maybe even years) of unprecedented hype surrounding the momentous launch of Apple’s iPhone, the reviews came in thick and fast from people all over the world who had their hands on one. People praised the first-of-its-kind screen, sleek appearance, easy-to-use user interface, free applications and YouTube quality.  Sure, there were things to brag to your mates about at the pub after work in a typical session of gadget show and tell. But with all that bragging and internet exploring, frantically waving its ‘spectacular’ features around to anyone who’d listen – users were often left with one big fundamental problem – the phone’s dwindling battery life.
