BlackBerry Storm to Have Higher Screen Res Than iPhone
Tags: BlackBerry Storm, BlackBerry Storm Features, BlackBerry Storm NewsAs we all eagerly await the release of the new BlackBerry Storm the latest rumors revolve around the mobile’s high res touchscreen. It has been tipped that RIM’s new device will house a touchscreen with a 360×480 resolution.
This is the highest resolution display of any BlackBerry and beats all of the competition. This even includes Apple’s iPhone, where the new 3G model carries a 320×480 resolution.
Haptic Technology for the BlackBerry Storm
The super sharp touchscreen on the BlackBerry Storm will also boost the latest haptic technology to deliver the user a physical response when the screen is touched. This will make viewing and typing texts on the new high res screen much more accurate and natural.
The high res touchscreen is one of the many rumored features that are leading fans to hail the new BlackBerry Storm as the “iPhone slayer” or the “Apple Killer”. Other rumored features include a QWERTY keyboard interface, a Micro-SD memory slot, and the BlackBerry Storm will be one of the first non-Apple handsets to feature Visual Voicemail and iTunes synchronization.
The BlackBerry Storm is reported to hit stores in October at the latest.
