I am also really looking forward to this device, albeit the sim-free version (have got another contract). Does anybody know whether it’ll support Sim Access Profile (Bluetooth) - the Bold is supposed to have this so I’d hope this phone will have it too! This is a requirement when you have a VW Premium integrated car-kit.

Comment…..Hiya, I own the 8800 Blackberry, and hopefully will be upgrading to the BB Bold or BB Storm, they are both FREE on contract here in the UK with the Vodafone (network).

I see a few peeps are concerned about WIFI.? well thats why you have your ASUS eee PC 901 1.6GHZ Atom CPU with Win XP for right? the EEE PC would be the only reason I need Wifi in 2008.

With the Blackberry we can have internet access anytime anyplace anywhere, thats the beauty of it all… we dont need WIFI - Thats why its not an issue for most blackberry Storm Customers.

If you are looking for more features like Wifi - try the 3G IPHONE… YEH, IF WIFI so important.

    @ David

Agree totally, Wifi also kills the life on any battery therefore a sensible idea by Blackberry considerate to people who want to have a phone that lasts at least a day. The whole point of a data plan is to have internet almost anywhere in the world. Therefore, why wifi? It’s irrelevant for now. It is a remarkable piece of equipment

I was torn between the Bold and the Storm but having played with it I want the storm now.

  30. ryan says:

it doesnt come with wifi cause it has been built specificaly for vodafone and they’re associated networks and as the want to promote vodafone wireless interenet wouldnt be good havin wifi cause it looks like they have no faith in they’re own network. yes it does only come with one theme but it is an amazing handset and no its not sim free as its exclusive to vodafone!!
