Vodafone Announce BlackBerry Storm Software Upgrade

A BlackBerry Storm software upgrade is available for all Vodafone customers. The software upgrade can be downloaded from the Vodafone website and will deliver a number of improvements to the microphone, display, media and video.

A new software upgrade is now available for the BlackBerry Storm. This will deliver improved stability and performance of the Storm in a number of key areas including media, message handling and touch screen display.

A number of fixes and improvements around other key areas are also delivered in the software upgrade including:

Microphone - Previously, there have been reports that when on a voice call, the other party may not be able to hear the Storm user properly. This software upgrade has resolved this.

Display - A number of improvements have been made to the display including a smoother and quicker transition between landscape and portrait modes.

Media – Improvements here include better handling of different media file formats and improved stability when using the media player.

Video – Streaming is much better, corrections are in place to improve handling of MMS messages and switching between applications when video streaming, and the fast forward and rewind functionality of media files is also improved.
