After hearing many rumours about the launch date of the BlackBerry Storm, it is now thought to have an official launch date of the 8th October 2008. This is reported to be the US launch date but could always end up being a universal launch date as has happened with many other eagerly awaited technological launches.

New Fancy Features of the BlackBerry Storm Smartphone

There has been much speculation about the appearance and features as well as the release date of the new Blackberry Storm and this certainly is one phone that has us all waiting with baited breath. A Blackberry with localised haptic multitouch touchscreen, motion sensor, iTunes synchronisation and many more fancy features, in my opinion, is a BlackBerry worth waiting for!

Teething Problems of the BlackBerry Storm Refuted

There are many release dates mentioned from various BlackBerry fans on the Internet including September, October and November 2008 but the most recent information from “leaked” sources is that the release date will be the 8th October.

Reports that the release date was put back due to teething problems with the advanced features of the BlackBerry Storm have been refuted by makers RIM. Issues including the touchscreen causing a visible rippled effect when gently pressing the screen and the motion sensor (accelerometer) going crazy when the device is moved have been dismissed by those in the know.

Service Providers for the BlackBerry Storm Mobile Phone

Rumours also have it that the Blackberry Storm will be available exclusively through Vodafone and Verizon but as with everything about this new phone, this has not yet been confirmed.

I know the release date of this new phone is just a few weeks away but I really can’t wait to see the new BlackBerry Storm in action!
